Op You Got the Love – Her Greatest Hits vind je alle hits van Candi Staton. Staton werd in 1976 wereldberoemd met de disco-knaller Young Hearts Run Free. Samen met The Source behaalt Staton diverse malen de hitlijsten met het nummer You Got The Love‘. In Nederland wordt de remix van het nummer in 2006 een grote hit. Maar voordat ze dit discogeweld uitbracht, was ze soulzangeres. Eentje uit de buitencategorie. Mijn favoriete nummers zijn I’d Rather Be And Old Man’s Sweetheart (Than A Young Man’s Fool) en Nights On Broadway.
